With more than 25 years of experience helping law firms grow through effective marketing and strong operational strategy, I founded Stewart Marketing & Consulting to give small and mid-size law firms access to seasoned, strategic guidance—without the overhead of a full-time executive.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked alongside lawyers, firm administrators, and leadership teams to strengthen marketing efforts, improve business development strategies, and enhance overall firm performance. My clients value my honest, practical, and no-nonsense approach to helping them build businesses they actually want to run.

In my legal management career, I directed the successful implementation of strategies and programs for client retention, firm-wide initiatives, practice group marketing, and individual attorney marketing plans.

As the former Director of Marketing and Client Services for a leading Southeastern law firm, I was responsible for establishing firm-wide marketing standards and branding guidelines, coordinating business development efforts, advertising and public relations strategies, practice group support, and leading internal training in all aspects of marketing and client service.

Beyond marketing, my work extended into broader firm management initiatives, where I was actively involved in:

  • Strategic planning

  • Major office renovations and relocations

  • Firm name and branding changes

  • Personnel management

  • Committee formation and leadership

  • Client service reviews

  • Development of in-house training programs

  • Merger evaluations and the merger of two law firms

This depth of experience gives me a unique perspective when advising clients today. I understand the complexities of running a legal practice—not just from a marketing standpoint, but from an operational and leadership lens as well.

Highly regarded for her depth of knowledge and commitment to the profession, Brenda serves as a non-lawyer member of the South Carolina Commission on Lawyer Conduct, a role appointed by the South Carolina Supreme Court. She has served in this capacity for more than 15 years, reflecting her longstanding leadership within the legal community.
